1952
- 112 Sqn pilots at RNAF Twente - 26May52 with Blackie the Labrador mascot in the front.
- 112 Sqn Vampire FB.5 WA218 undergoing an engine change during a deployment - 17Oct52. The hills in the background suggest that this was not at Jever, maybe on detachment. Anyone remember where? WA218 had tail number A-C (and also T-C) arrived on 112 Sqn on Fri 11Jul52 and was sent to 19MU on Fri 15Jan54.
- 112 Sqn Vampire Fb 5 VX462 A being refuelled, it is thought, at Fassberg presumably during a return visit. Can anyone recognise the airfield? Perhaps it was at Bruggen? It does not look like Jever as I do not know of any curved aircraft dispersals. This Vampire did not arrive on 112 Sqn until Wed 13Aug52 and the Squadron had moved to Jever from Fassberg on 7Mar52. It was moved to 12 MU on Mon 15Feb54 from Bruggen as the Squadron moved from Jever to Bruggen on 6Mar53.
1953
- Comparison of Top British Armed Forces Special Vouchers (BAFS) , Centre US equivalent and Bottom French equivalent.
- We all came through Hook of Holland to and from to Germany but seldom stopped to view the place. Here are some small fishing boats in the harbour.
- 112 Sqn Vampire FB5 in the Hangar between late 1951 and early 1953. WA372 T-H and WA337 T-C. David Watkins tells me that 112 Sqn had the "T" prefix for a while before changing to "A" to avoid confusion with 93 Sqn which also used "T".
- 112 Sqn Vampire FB5 WA372, T-H later A-H, taking off from PSP planking during an experiment whilst detached to Butzweilerhof. Jet exhaust and lack of flaps suggests taking off rather than landing.
- 112 Sqn Vampires in the snow during the detachment to Butzweilerhof Jan/Feb 1953.
- During the 112 Sqn detachment to Butzweilerhof in early 1953, some may remember the very impressive local version of the services Astra Cinema.
- 112 Sqn Groundcrew at Rosenmontag - Köln Karneval - Feb53. John Beaumont with beer in front of woman on the left. Rest unknown.
- When 112 Sqn was detached to Butzweilerhof they were able to attend Rosenmontag and the Köln Karneval and here are some shots from the Parade - Feb53.
- Hitler & Eva Braun impersonators. I am surprised that this was allowed/tolerated so soon after the end of hostilities - only 8 years. The actors must be hard up for a job! I wonder whether we have a genuine Nazi giving the salute in the top left of the picture? - Rosenmontag, Köln Karneval - Feb53.
- More Floats in the Rosenmontag Köln Karneval - Feb53.
- And Some More Floats in the Rosenmontag Köln Karneval - Feb53.
- Political Comment on a European Army in the Köln Karneval on Rosenmontag? - Feb53.

Jones, Barney Concannon, John O'Neill - guessed circa 1953
- Crash site of 112 Sqn Vampire FB5 VZ115 in the overshoot at Jever. During a practice for an impending visit by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh the engine failed when in the circuit at Jever. The pilot, Fg. Off. Ray Hancock, misjudged his approach to a forced landing on the airfield and passed the runway caravan, going the wrong way, at about 200 knots. The aircraft disintegrated and and Ray was lucky to escape with little more than a broken arm. - 17Mar53.
- John Beaumont of 112 Squadron fishing in a lake next to the airfield. I never realised that there were lakes so close to the boundary. Marcus Christ has just sent me details of the sale of the GAF Jever Married Quarters. Below is one of the maps contained in the pack and it shows lakes just west of the quarters and the athletics track underneath the shaft of the red arrow. I presume that the buildings in the background of the photograph are the MT Yard buildings.
- Johnny Fox of 112 Squadron who introduced John Beaumont to fishing in these lakes next to the airfield. It looks like the back of a row of Warrant Officers' Married Quarters through the trees. Apparently one called at the house of the German gentleman who owned the lakes and he allowed them to fish. John Beaumont can't remember any charges. I wonder if anyone else used them over the next 7 years?
- John Fox fishing at the Husum Lakes.
- John Beaumont denies that this is what they were fishing for - he says they were non-cooperative! John only went during the week but thinks it may have been a picnic centre at weekends. The German owner allowed the use of the boat.
- John Beaumont using the owner's boat for some lake fishing - 1953. John says that there were Roach in the lake, in fact, he caught one and it was immediately taken by a Pike while still on the end of his line. So he re-baited with another small Roach and actually caught the Pike.

- 3 unknown friends from 112 Sqn walking down Westerland High Street, Sylt in May/Jun53.
- No 112 Sqn 4 Vampire formation from Fassberg - date unknown
- 112 Sqn Vampire FB5 WA235 A-L probably at Bruggen after 6Jul53. David Watkins tells me that 112 Sqn had the "T" prefix for a while before changing to "A", as in this photo, to avoid confusion with 93 Sqn which also used "T".
- 112 Sqn Vampire FB5s WA144 A-C, G or O probably at Bruggen after 6Jul53.
- Amusing Cartoon for the Christmas Card about 112 Sqn's desire to swap its Vampire FB5s for the more modern, swept wing Sabres, like many other squadrons in Germany - presumed Dec53 at Bruggen. It was drawn by Flt Sgt. Fletcher, witness name on the box in the bottom right-hand corner.

- Corgi Model Sabre in No 112 Sqn colours.
- Model of 112 Sqn sabre F.4 XB920 K made by Marc Schimmler. The markings look very accurate. 112 Sqn only had Vampires during their time at Jever but re-equipped with Sabre F.4s at Bruggen in Jan54. XB920 arrived on 112 Sqn on Mon 29Mar54 and became Cat4 (Rehab) on Wed 6Jun56 sent to ATL. CN707 Ex RCAF 19807.
