R.A.F. JEVER Sept. 59   Operations
          The target was increased for the month of September, from 310 hours to
340 hours, which was reached before the end of the month.   This included three
evenings night flying which was the first since March, 1959.
          Another successful week of air - ground firing was achieved from the 14th - 18th
September.   The scores are still improving and the monthly average finished at
36.9%.           Flight Lieutenant R. Rimington took a Swift away fro two aerobatic demonstrations
this month.   The first was at the German Air Force Base, Landsberg on the 6th
September and the second for Battle of Britain Day on the 19th September at Royal
Air Force Cottesmore.
          Exercise Amled was held on 24th September and No. 79 Squadron sent a
detachment of eight pilots and four aircraft to the Squadron for the duration of the exercise.
          Wing Commander R.L. Topp, Deputy Sector Commander, flew the Swift for the
