This was also a form of transport in 1958 - the 250 NSU.   Maurice remembers that a few of the chaps would take a trip over to Bremerhaven and buy second hand big engined US cars for little money.   The only problem here was that the owners were constantly asking if anybody had any petrol coupons left over.   (Thanks to Maurice Parker)
