Oberst Kubiak said farewell to Joachim Linke
Upjever - At a small reception held in the Officers Mess, Oberst Karl-Heinz Kubiak said farewell to the Station Commander of GAF Jever - Oberstleutnant Joachim Linke.   Oberstleutnant Linke knew 'his' station better than any other person did and has served in his responsible position since November 2003.   Amongst others, his duties included project planning for the station as well as being in charge of the military and civilian security personnel.   Kubiak emphasized his meritorious work in the re-organization of the station during the build-up of the GAF Regiment.   For the remaining 18 months of his service, Linke will transfer to Wittmund where the same position will await him.   The new Station Commander at Jever will be the Kommandeur of the 1st.Battalion of the GAF Regiment 'Friesland', Oberstleutnant Markus Kurczyk.   Newscutting from Jeversches Wochenblatt dated 20Apr07.
