                 97.  Jettisoning of external stores

                 (i)   All external loads (bombs, fragmentation bombs, rockets,
                       wing fuel drop tanks and chemical tanks) may be
                       jettisoned unfused by pressing the bomb/rocket/tank
                       salvo button (57) recessed in the left forward console.
                       Bombs and rockets are jettisoned unfused irrespective of
                       the position of the fusing switch.
                 (ii)  All external loads may also be mechanically released
                       unfused by pulling out the guarded jettison handle (58)
                       recessed in the inboard face of the left forward console.
                 (iii) If a check reveals that the external loads have not
                       released, and if time permits, check that all circuit-
                       breakers are in and that the demolition bombs release
                       selector switch is at MANUAL RELEASE.  Place the
                       demolition bombs SINGLE/ALL selector switch to ALL
                       and rocket jettison switch at READY, then press the
