C/N 41H-670818, delivered 2Sep55, 222Sqn Leuchars H 2Sep55, damaged by fire in the air when jet pipe became detached from engine 29Nov56, to HAL, converted to T7, delivered 7May59 5MU Kemble, Jever Stn Flt 8Jan60, Gutersloh Stn. Flt. T Dec62, 2Sqn R May67, Wildenwrath Jul70, RAE 30Mar71,, 4FTS Valley, 208Sqn, 237OCU 372 Lossiemouth as Buccaneer crew trainer, to FAA Oct84 as 879/VL, overhauled by Airwork at Bournmouth in early 1986 and returned to the FAA as 877/VL, placed in storage at Shawbury 1988, it again returned to the RN 1990 until its withdrawal from use in 1993, Ferried to Culdrose for use at the School of Aircraft Handling (SAH), later the School of Flight Deck Operations (SFDO) in Mar93, it remained there until 1996, auctioned in 1997 it was sold to Tony Moloney and flown to North Weald where it was due to be overhauled by 'Gosh That's Aviation', Following change of ownership it was flown from North Weald to Bournmouth on 11Aug97 by Jet Heritage's Chief Pilot Jonathan Whaley for a restoration programme, repainted in 2Sqn colours it flew in 1998, The aircraft is now based at Kemble Airfield maintained by Delta Jets and owned by the 'Fox-One' consortium, a syndicate of eight pilots, registered as G-BXFI.   (Thanks to David Griffin.)
