A. Sanderson, Squadron Leader (Paddy) Minnis, the leader and also Commander of No 93 Squadron Jever; Flying Officer Charles Taylor and Flying Officer Richard Clayton-Jones."   The captions to the bottom clipping reads: "Spang's AFD Show Rated "The Greatest".   Armed Forces Day activities at this Base on May 18 are being billed here as the "greatest show in Europe" and from an international stand point, the tops in USAF.   The latest "spectacular" to be tapped as an AFD magnet for Spang is the 2nd Allied Tactical Air Force Hawker Hunter formation aerobatic team which will give its first public demonstration in 1957 for the benefit of SAB visitors.   The 2nd ATAF team of RAF aerobatic pilots will fly for the first time before a European audience in Britain's latest Hunter, the Mark VI.   Maj Billy B Campbell, ROC, was responsible for the successful arrangements to bring this unique attraction to Spang on Armed Forces Day.   (See team photos on page three [above]).   Equipment for AFD.   Aircraft and equipment reportedly confirmed for exhibit here by the Armed Forces Day Committee headed by Lt. Col. Jean K. Woodward include a Skysweeper 75 mm radar tracking AA gun, 280 mm cannon, medium army tank.   TM-61 Matador missile, and a variety of NATO aircraft to lend realism to this year's AFD slogan: "Partners for Peace in NATO."   These aircraft include the Hawker Hunter, Mystere Ouragon, Mark IV Canberra and the CF 100.   Base aircraft to be displayed are the H-19, RB-66C, RB-57, RF-84 and T-33.   Numerous static displays are again planned for the ramp area.   It was also announced that negotiations have been completed for German television cameramen to film the morning-long AFD show."   Pictures caption: "This quintet of Hawker Hunter Mark VI's of the 2nd ATAF's crack outfit "stand on their tails" in a blazing display of precision flying.   The Hunter is a single seater, swept back mid-wing aircraft of clean aerodynamic design."   (Thanks to RAF Museum.)
