93 Sqn Linebook No. 2 - Page 71 ...and here is why!   Gordon Talbot flew the spare aircraft for the 93 Sqn formation aerobatic team to the Basle air show and on return received the following letter:   "Basle. 10.9.58.   Dear Mr Talbot, I hope that you excuse my letter.   I don't know, if you remember me.   Last Saturday night I was in the Victoria-National? Hotel with my brother.   You came in at one o'clock in the morning and gived me a sixpence with your inscription.   It was very nice to meet you and so I went Monday to your Hotel to ask your address in Germany or England.   At first they would not give it but at last they did.   You know, I'm not Swiss, I'm Dutch, but I live in Basle since four years, with my parents and my brother..."   Continued on the next page.   (Thanks to RAF Museum.)
