Watson was the daughter of the British Forces Education System (BFES) Headmaster of the station primary school.
We were married by the Reverend Hewlett Wilson, the station Church of England Padre who eventually became Air Vice-Marshal The Venerable J Hewlett Wilson, CB QHC MA Chaplain-in-Chief of the RAF. (Thanks Mick Ryan).
