Anglo-German Week Open Day 6Jun59 - 2 visiting Hunters on the static display. On the left a RNAF, (Fokker licence built) Hunter F.6, 4R-24 from 325 Sqn. in Leeuwarden. Was re-numbered 273 and later converted to Chilian FGA Mk. 71 ( J-713 ). Right: RDAF Hunter Mk.51, E-418 from 724 Sqn. in Vaerlose/Skystrup. Believed to be the Mk.4 type with the highest number of flying hours. Was later well known in the UK as G-HUNT and is now in the US. (Thanks to Maurice Parker.) |
