5.   When the position of the pull up point has been calculated, an Initial
Point within seven nautical miles should be selected. This should be a
recognisable feature for both navigation and timing the final run.

6.   When the attack has been planned and the initial point decided, the
navigation from base to that point can be worked out. The route may be
detailed in the Pro-Forma but speeds and heights, to fly may have to be
considered by the leader because of range, fuel, weather and recovery problems,
