cuit for the greater part of the day.

  5.2.59        The weather improved during the day, and after a late start, a certain amount of fly-
ing was possible, with the accent on air tests and P.I.'s.

with the exception of those on Battle Flight duties.

  12.2.59        No flying this morning due to fog.   There was some improvement this afternoon and
the Squadron did some day and night flying.

played in the afternoon.

  18.2.59        No flying today due to bad weather.   Work was started on the Squadron dispersal
and most of the tentage was completed.

  19.2.59        No flying today due to bad weather.   The Squadron finished the dispersal today and
a basketball competition was held between the Squadrons.

  21.2.59        There was an improvement in the weather today, and a fair amount of flying was possible.

  23.2.59        There was no flying this morning due to fog but a clearance in the afternoon allowed
some useful flying to be obtained.   At 0900 this morning the Station was brought to a
state of military vigilance as part of exercise "Battle Call".

  24.2.59        Early this morning there was a practice Orange Alert.   The Squadron dispersed, and in
a very short time was ready for operations.   At 1200 a practice Scarlet Alert was given.
Unfortunately due to bad weather no flying was possible.

  25.2.59        There was fog this morning but by lunch time the weather was good enough for a
limited flying programme.   Of the nine sorties, eight were cine' weave in preparation
for the next Sylt detachment.

  26.2.59        Good weather today, an early start was possible and a fair amount of flying was done.
The sorties were comprised of low level strikes, high level P.I.'s and cine' weave.
