Miserable conditions on 4 Sqn pan viewed from Ops Room Tower Verandah.   4 Sqn Hunter F.6s lined up with nowhere to go.   Pete thinks this was the day when the Station Commander "Black" Smith decided it was 4 Sqn's turn to be smartened up and he ordered them all to hose the ice and dirt laden wings of the Hunters with aviation fuel, and they all had to clean off the muck.   (Thanks to Pete Jennings)
