7-14-21 Aces - a popular game involving the actual dice shown.   Nominate, Pay, Drink I believe was the orbat.   In the left photo: Bill Simms flaked out after game.   Must have shared the spoils with Eric Bowen.   In the centre photo on the left is, L to R, Bill Simms hand, unknown out of sight, Flt. Lt. Eric Bowen, Station Duty Officer and Fg. Off. Jock Elliot RAF Regt. Obviously Eric had hit a lot of 21's. Think Eric may have been Air Traffic Control.   In the right photo [See larger version in next photo]: Outside the mess, a shaky Bill Simms, a perky Fred Maycock and the Orderly Officer Pete Smith, trying to restore some order.   Pete Smith did not drink much and, as he was Orderly Officer, I doubt if he had even a drop on that night.   Eric Bowen was Station Duty Officer and obviously had been on the receiving end of more 'drink' than 'pay' or ' nominate' calls.   (Thanks to Ron Gray.)
