Ken Senar's extraordinary mecanno Sabre.   He built this to exactly 1/6th scale.  Its dimensions were Wing Span 6ft; Length 6ft Height 2ft 6ins; weight 112 lb.   It used 7 motors to operate the u/c retraction and rotation as per original; u/c doors; Flaps; Speed brakes; Canopy; Gunfire simulation and jet blast.   The ejection seat could be slid out, the throttle moved and varied the jet blast from the tail; rudder pedals moved the rudder and the nose wheel steering; Stick controlled the ailerons and the fully flying tail, with differential elevators.   The small box on the right of the plinth is for outside operation of the controls.   There was also a plug-in remote control.   Ken displayed it at the 2000 World-wide Skegness Meccano Exhibition where it gained 2nd prize.   It has since been dismantled as Ken is now working on a 1/6th scale vampire.   (Thanks to Ken Senar.)
