93 Sqn Linebook No. 2 - Page 27 - This was the occasion of Eric and Val Pigdon's farewell party on being posted back to UK - April 1957. To avoid carrying lots of partly empty booze bottle back to UK, Eric mixed all the bottle remnants in his baby nappy bucket, including left-over cough syrup, gripe water etc. The resulting fluid was red in colour rather like the then very popular petrol additive "Redex". The Lady Guests were given a shot of "Redex" with their lemonade and the men had it either neat or with their beer. The affect was rather devastating. The top picture is Taff Taylor drinking milk from a saucer as some forfeit for a party misdemeanour, the middle picture is Wyn Walkinshaw, one of the BFES teachers and the bottom picture is of Clam Clayton-Jones who had kept Val Pigdon waiting while he entertained everyone at the end of the evening.
