Fellow Junior Technician and armourer Mick "Eroll" Flynn posing on the demolished Flak Tower directly behind the Central Armoury.   Apparently it formed a part of the outer defences of Wilhelmshaven during WWII.   Mick and John Mackenzie were apprentices at RAF Halton and were posted to Jever together in September 1959.   He worked in the Ejection Seat Bay while John was in the Central Armoury servicing 30mm's.   They remain friends to this day - April 1961.
