Also hanging on the wall, next to the previous painting of Ken Goodwin's flypast, is a painting from Heinz Knoke which is dated 1987.   Heinz Knoke as we know was the author of the book 'I Flew for the Führer' and served at Jever in the early part of the last war.   After the war he lived in Schortens, was involved in local politics for a number of years and finally moved away to study at the Osnabrück University.   He died in 1993 at the age of 73.   [Click to see series of pictures of Heinz Knoke.] (Thanks to Maurice Parker.)
