118 Sqn Aircrew and Groundcrew - Pre-Sylt Feb56. Please let us know if you can name anyone. It appears to be against the background of a Hunter which means it is probably after Apr55 when 118 Sqn got their Hunters. In the centre is Norman Buddin who was CO from Jan56 to 22Aug57. A few other names suggest it was taken for the Sylt detachment in Mar56. This type of photograph was usually taken for Sylt detachments. I am filing it as Feb56 until we know better. An amusing detail in this shot is the raised arm and hand making a 'V' sign, just visible behind 13 POVEY. The obscured head seems to be hatless. Could he therefore be a German civilian bowser driver, perhaps mocking the Brits? Thanks to Barrie Clarke.
