		OPERATIONAL
		(a)    Training (i)     This month's training effort was prejudiced by 3 periods of Battle Flight.   As
a result the squadron flew only 334.40 hrs. Hunter and 42.30 T.11.   It is estimated
that the flying time lost on the 2 a/c at 5 minutes readiness on Battle Flight
could have been between 60 and 100 hours.
(ii)   The squadron operated from dispersal for one week.
(iii)  Air to ground firing and low flying in preparation for Exercise Brown Jug did
not receive the requisite attention because of the Battle Flight.
		(b) Aircraft Serviceability.
On Exercise "Brown Jug" the serviceability was high, usually 8 a/c
		(i)       There has been some improvement this month in serviceability but no reduction
in groundcrew effort to "keep them flying."
(ii)     The extension of the period of Primary Servicing from 7 to 14 days should
be of great benefit and leave more time for rectification. |
