Detachment to French Air Force Dijon
This comprised 4 aircraft, 6 pilots and 9 groundcrew, and covered the period 9th
June to 18th June, 1959.
The majority of sorties flown there were high level Battle formation and air combat.
Several mixed formations of Hunters and Mysteres were also flown.   Many lessons of tactics
were learnt by both sides, and after the first few days both Mystere and Hunter pilots
had developed the necessary approach to combat between the types to each make the best
of his aircraft potential.
The weather was good, which was fortunate since the control potential at Dijon
combined with the language problem, did not augur well for operations in marginal weather.
